Meaningful Learning

The exercises we did in class clarified some of the topics from the reading. I also realize that I may be overcomplicating my exploration of certain ideas at this point. The practice in class made me realize I should be thinking of these aspects in a general, high-level manner, using simple examples and explanations.

I think the book sometimes overcomplicates the topics as well. Some of the examples are simple and strait-forward like the dog breed recognition, but others that are supposed to draw parallels between associated theories use convoluted scenarios. Because of this, it is nice to see how other people in the class interpreted the information and developed their own examples to demonstrate the theories.
